About the Certificate in Modern Project Management
Overview of the Certificates
The Certificate in Modern Project Management consists of three levels:
Level 1 – Foundation
The entry level tests comprehensive knowledge in traditional, agile, and hybrid project management through an online multiple-choice exam.
Level 2 – Professional
This level requires the Foundation certificate and involves a 20-page project reflection, critically analyzing a completed project.
Level 3 – Excellence
This level builds upon the previous two and tests analytical and creative competencies during a one-day team-based assessment using case studies.
All certificates are valid indefinitely and are currently free of charge for students.
Entry-Level Certificate: Modern Project Management
Foundation Level
This level tests knowledge in traditional, agile, and hybrid project management through a 60-minute multiple-choice exam. To pass, participants must answer at least 25 out of 50 questions correctly. Upon successful completion, participants receive a certificate with lifetime validity. Students can participate for free and receive training materials for preparation.
Advanced Certificate: Foundation Add-On
Professional Level
Requires the Foundation Certificate and tests practical project management skills. Participants write a project reflection (minimum 20 pages) about a real-life project. Evaluation is decentralized and a minimum grade of “good” is required to pass. The certificate is valid indefinitely and currently free of charge for students.
Highest Certificate Level
Excellence Level
This highest level requires the Professional Certificate. Participants take part in a one-day assessment featuring a team-based case study. Evaluation is based on content quality and teamwork. The day concludes with a presentation and feedback session. The certificate is valid indefinitely and currently free of charge for students.
